I went out on the local state park lake last weekend to see if I could raise a trout or two.  This lake prohibits gasoline engines, so I used the 40 lb thrust electric motor.  It was VERY windy, with only two other hardy souls out fishing.  I will state that 40lb is barely adequate, but will move the boat forward in up to 15 kts of wind.  The 30 knot winds could only be approached...
